Culture of Safety
Our Commitment to You
The Minnesota JCC is committed to a strong Culture of Safety, where policies, practices, and people work together to create experiences that feel safe, are safe, and stay safe. We encourage everyone to speak up when something doesn’t seem right, and we respond with care and attention. Our team takes shared ownership of safety, supported by expert guidance and ongoing staff training. With clear standards and proactive practices, we continuously strengthen our ability to identify risks and protect our community. Our goal is simple and unwavering: to foster a safe, supportive environment for all.

Our Priorities
The Minnesota JCC prioritizes the creation and continuous improvement of a Culture of Safety. We examine safety through multiple dimensions to provide a secure, welcoming environment for our entire community.
Security and Prevention of External Threats
The Minnesota JCC is committed to being a welcoming and safe destination for all, supported by clear procedures and expert-informed security practices. Our values and code of conduct prohibit any attire or behavior that is disrespectful or harmful to others. We maintain ongoing communication with community security partners, local law enforcement, and emergency response agencies to ensure a safe environment.
Protection and Prevention of Inappropriate Conduct
The Minnesota JCC is committed to protecting vulnerable populations and fostering a Culture of Safety that prevents, identifies, and reports inappropriate conduct. We partner with Praesidium, a national leader in safety accreditation, to strengthen our screening, training, supervision, and reporting systems. Our policies clearly prohibit inappropriate physical, verbal, or digital conduct to ensure a safe and respectful environment for all.
